The Department of Physics and the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, at the University of California, Berkeley are conducting an open search to fill one or more tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level in Quantum Information Science and Technology (experiment or theory) with an expected start date of July 1, 2020.
The main projects focus on the dynamics of dwarf galaxies and the Milky Way and Andromeda satellite systems, and the multiple stellar populations in globular clusters, respectively. Involvement in projects related to the Galactic Center and stellar streams is also possible. The research involves either observational data analysis, theoretical dynamical modeling, and/or data-model comparisons.
The Physics Department at the University of California, Berkeley is conducting an open search to fill a tenure-track faculty position, with an expected start date of July 1, 2020. This position is open to all sub-fields of astrophysics, including experiment, observation, theory, or associated data science.
The Department of Applied Physics at the New York University (NYU) Tandon School of Engineering invites applications for a full time, non-tenured, renewable faculty teaching position, at the level of Lecturer, with a start date of September 1, 2020.
Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) is seeking to fill a postdoctoral researcher position to work with Dr. Andrew Fox and the Milky Way Halo research group, which includes Drs. Jason Tumlinson, Trisha Ashley, David French, and collaborators.
The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Western Washington University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position starting September 2020. The position requires a Ph.D. in physics or closely related field. Applications will be considered from individuals with a research specialty in experimental physics, broadly defined.
Open July 26th, 2019 through Wednesday, Oct 30, 2019 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time)
The Department of Earth and Planetary Science at the University of California, Berkeley invites applications for an Assistant Professor faculty position with an expected start date of July 1, 2020. We seek outstanding candidates from any area of Earth and planetary science. Candidates whose research falls into this broad range of disciplines are invited to apply.
The Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher to work with Dr. Marc Rafelski on observational studies of high redshift galaxies and their gas reservoirs. The research will involve scientific analysis and publication, data reduction, and proposals for new observations with the Hubble Space Telescope (HST), The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), and large ground-based facilities.
The Space Telescope Science Institute invites applications for a Postdoctoral Position to work with Dr. Andrew Fruchter on astrophysical transients. In this position, you will contribute to a new, large Hubble Space Telescope program to study electromagnetic signals from gravitational mergers as well as programs using HST and the Chandra X-ray observatory to investigate the energetics and astrophysical origins of gamma-ray bursts.
