CBS Grand Challenges in Biology Postdoctoral Program

Rationale

Understanding and predicting the behavior of complex biological systems requires a framework that can integrate across levels of biological organization and incorporate and facilitate mechanistic understanding. These are the stimuli that drive future research in biology. Meeting this challenge requires a multidisciplinary approach that involves strong integration (or re- integration) of molecular biology with organismal biology.

Tenure-track Position in Robotics

The John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) at Harvard University seeks applicants for a tenure-track faculty position in Robotics, with an expected start date of July 1, 2020. We invite applications in the broadly defined areas of dynamics and control; perception, autonomy and machine learning; and human-robot interaction. However, applications from strong candidates in all areas of robotics and automation will also be considered.

Postdoctoral Fellowships in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology

The American Museum of Natural History seeks highly qualified applicants for two postdoctoral positions for its Gerstner Postdoctoral Scholars program in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. The 2019-20 application cycle includes a special opportunity for applicants who want to pursue comparative biology research relevant to human health or biomedicine.

Assistant Professor: Quantum Information, Quantum Sensing, & Quantum Computing; Exp. or Theory

The Department of Physics and the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, at the University of California, Berkeley are conducting an open search to fill one or more tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level in Quantum Information Science and Technology (experiment or theory) with an expected start date of July 1, 2020.

Joint Faculty Position Open Rank (Tenured/ Tenure Track) Center For Neural Science & Center For Data Science

The Center for Data Science (CDS) and the Center for Neural Science (CNS) invite applications for an open rank joint faculty position, anticipated to begin September 2020, subject to administrative and budgetary approval. Appointments may be made at either junior or senior level. We seek exceptional candidates that can carry out research programs aimed at quantitative analysis and modeling of neural data, and developing related data science tools and methods, leveraging existing strengths of CNS and CDS.

Microsoft Quantum Program-sponsored Postdoctoral Associate in Superconducting Neuromorphic Computing

We seek a postdoctoral researcher for a 3-year position at Colgate University to work in the area of superconducting neuromorphic computing. The position is sponsored by Microsoft who is collaborating with Colgate on investigating the application of neuromorphic computing to quantum computing. See references below [1,2] for prior work in this area and the announcement [3] of the Colgate-Microsoft partnership. We are interested in an experienced experimental researcher to design, simulate and test superconducting circuits to understand their capabilities as neuromorphic components.
