The Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Genetics (www.virginia.edu/bmg) and the University of Virginia Cancer Center, one of 56 National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the nation, seek to expand their cancer research faculty. We invite applicants for Assistant, Associate and Full Professor (tenure-track/tenured) appointments, who address contemporary problems in the biology of aging and cancer. We are particularly interested in the areas of epigenetic regulation, metabolomics and mechanisms of drug resistance.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in the life sciences and must have demonstrated the capacity for high-quality scholarship and maintaining an extramurally funded independent research program if at the more senior career stages. Support will include a start-up package, laboratory space, and an exceptionally interactive research environment.
