The Department of Community and Global Health (CGH) in the College of Health (COH) at Lehigh University invites applications for an open rank Teaching Professor in Community-Engaged Methodologies, specializing in qualitative and community-engaged methodologies. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to teaching and mentoring in the design, implementation, and evaluation of community-based health interventions, with particular attention to qualitative and mixed-methods approaches. In addition to teaching, the individual hired will be expected to mentor undergraduate and graduate students and participate in departmental, college, and university service. This is a renewable, fixed-term, full-time, non-tenure-track position. The initial term of appointment is 3 years, with an anticipated start date in July 2027. While the position is not tenurable, Teaching Assistant and Teaching Associate Professors who develop excellent records in teaching and service are expected to become eligible for consideration for promotion.
Candidates must have an earned doctorate in community and/or global health, or a closely related field such as public health, health promotion, health education, social and/or behavioral sciences, health communication, or medical or cultural anthropology by the date of employment. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality instruction to undergraduate students (B.S. in Population Health, B.A. in Community and Global Health) and graduate students (Master of Public Health - MPH). We seek an individual passionate about teaching and mentoring, with a focus on qualitative research design, mixed methods, community-based participatory research (CBPR), and/or program evaluation.

As our faculty grows, the COH will add a suite of graduate degrees in Biostatistics and Health Data Science (certificate, MS, PhD).
