Position Overview

The University of Kansas Institute for Sustainable Engineering is seeking a well-qualified postdoctoral researcher to support an industry sponsored proprietary research project focused in the areas of phase-equilibrium thermodynamic and transport property measurements. The successful candidate will possess excellent experimental and analytical skills as well as strong oral and written communication abilities and be able to work in a hands-on, collaborative, and energetic environment.

The American Academy of Arts and Sciences invites qualified candidates to apply for the John E. Bryson Directorship in Science, Engineering and Technology (SET). With guidance from the Chief Program Officer (CPO), the Program Director for SET will work with Academy Fellows and senior staff to develop and carry out policy and research initiatives related to the areas within their portfolio.

As part of the Academy’s Initiative for Science, Engineering, and Technology, the Hellman Fellowship in Science and Technology Policy provides an opportunity for an early-career professional with training in science or engineering to learn about a career in public policy and administration. While in residence, Hellman Fellows work with senior scientists and policy experts on critical national and international policy issues related to science, engineering, and technology.

Are you passionate about communicating astronomy and enabling science learning? The Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) is seeking an Outreach Scientist for our Office of Public Outreach (OPO). You will primarily support the public engagement activities for the James Webb Space Telescope and the Hubble Space Telescope, and NASA’s Universe of Learning science education program. This position could support working from home.

This postdoctoral position in the laboratory of Professors Patrick A Limbach and Bala Addepalli will be responsible for leading research activities focused on the identification and characterization of modified nucleosides in ribonucleic acid (RNA). The individual will work collaboratively on a project that involves technique developments using mass spectrometry to elucidate the global tRNA modification profile in mammalian cells are also expected in the project.

The Brandeis Brandeis BioInspired Soft Materials Research Center (a National Science Foundation MRSEC) has two openings. The first, MRSEC Research Computing Fellow, is designed for a researcher who is looking to stay connected to scientific research while preparing for a career in scientific computation or information technology.

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine administers postdoctoral and senior fellowship awards at the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), and the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA) under the Air Force Science & Technology Fellowship Program (AF STFP).
