The Department of Biology in the College of Arts and Sciences at North Central College (NCC) invites applications from broadly trained cell and molecular biologist for a tenure-track position to begin Fall 2027. Appointment at the rank of assistant professor is likely, but qualified candidates may be considered for a higher rank. Teaching responsibilities will include an advanced course in molecular biology, a basic cell biology course, and introductory and capstone courses in our innovative research-focused curriculum.
Basic Qualifications:
Basic qualifications are required at the time of application.
- Ph.D. in cell biology, molecular biology or related field; postdoctoral experience desired.
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching and mentoring and commitment to developing an active research program engaging undergraduate students.
Salary Range:
The budgeted salary range for this position is:
- Assistant: $62,000-$67,000
- Associate: $72,000-$78,000
- Professor: $83,000-$88,000
