The History Department at the University of Houston seeks to appoint a colleague for a tenure-track position as an assistant professor specializing in colonial Mexican history. Teaching responsibilities include the survey, upper division and graduate courses in Colonial Latin American History. The teaching load is two courses per semester.

The program is for scholars in the final stages of their doctoral work who need only to finish the dissertation to complete requirements for the Ph.D.
