The Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (CLACS) at New York University (NYU) invites applications for a Faculty Fellow to begin in September 2019, pending administrative and budgetary approval. CLACS is a Title VI National Resource Center (jointly with Columbia University's Institute for Latin American Studies) with a prominent Masters' program in Latin American and Caribbean Studies.

Bersoff Faculty Fellow, Department of Philosophy

The Department of Philosophy of New York University invites applications for two or more Bersoff Faculty Fellowships, areas of specialization open, to begin September 1, 2019, pending administrative and budgetary approval. This is a one-year appointment possibly renewable for a second year.

Responsibilities include teaching two undergraduate courses; both courses may be taught in the same semester, leaving the other semester free to pursue research.

Assistant Professor 20th Century American Urban History (FAC000740)

The History Department at the University of Houston invites applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in twentieth century American urban history. Although all research areas will be seriously considered, candidates who specialize in environmental history are especially encouraged to apply. This position will enhance existing departmental strengths in public history. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the Center for Public History through their scholarship and teaching.
