Job Description
The Department of Biological Sciences, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville invites applications for tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. We seek applicants with training in physiology or immunology, preferably with expertise in both areas. The successful candidate will share responsibility for teaching courses in animal physiology and immunology. Courses may also include upper division courses in area of expertise, an introductory course for biology majors, and non-majors' courses in biology. Candidates should exhibit potential for independent and innovative research involving master's and undergraduate students.

Continuing academic year (nine month) appointment; tenure eligible.

Qualifications
A Ph.D. by the start of the fall 2026 term in biological sciences or related field with a specialization in physiology, immunology, or related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
Expertise in both physiology and immunology. Postdoctoral teaching and/or research experience. Demonstrated record of an active research agenda.
