Great Lakes Advanced Molecular Sciences Summer Courses!

Institute for Quantitative Health Science & Engineering

Our advanced molecular science courses are targeted toward senior graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and young faculty who are interested in advancing their knowledge to become leaders in their fields. Individuals who have a fundamental understanding of biology, chemistry, and physics will get the most from one of these intensive courses. Instruction will be given by world class faculty from universities within the Great Lakes region, beginning with foundational information and incorporating cutting edge applications and instrumentation. We are offering three courses this year:

Please visit our website for more information and to register for the course(s)! Please note: Registration costs will be increasing on May 20th!

There are a small number of participant scholarships available thanks to the generosity of sponsors. If you need financial assistance to attend a course, please contact iq.glamsinfo@msu.edu.

Michigan State University (MSU) strives to be recognized as a national leader in the advancement of knowledge by the most diverse and exemplary cadre of students, trainees, faculty, staff and alumni who transform lives through equitable teaching, research, scholarship and practice.

MSU Institute for Quantitative Health Sciences and Engineering (IQ) is dedicated to basic and applied research at the intersection of engineering, human medicine, and natural science. Our faculty, students, and staff were recruited from all over the globe and continue to have a global presence. They collaborate across disciplines to push the envelope of biomedical research, solving some of the most pressing problems in medicine with smart engineering solutions. While IQ is research-intensive, we also place a purposeful focus on training the next generation of scientists to do more than traditional research.

Networks of scientists result in catalytic, transdisciplinary work that pushes the boundaries of science. The IQ Great Lakes Advanced Molecular Sciences (IQ GLAMS) Summer Courses are a welcoming and inclusive environment geared towards creating the “collisions” necessary to produce boundary pushing scientists. Our goal is to foster a community that respects and values a broad range of backgrounds, viewpoints, and experiences. We are committed to inclusive recruitment of participants to the IQ GLAMS Summer Courses.

MSU is an affirmative-action, equal-opportunity employer.
