The Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology (MCDB) at Yale University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level with an anticipated start date in July 2021. The Department welcomes applications from candidates, particularly those from diverse backgrounds, who investigate any biological system and who will contribute to the diversity and excellence of our community of scholars. The broad research interests of the MCDB faculty include plant biology, developmental biology, neurobiology, cell biology, computational biology, microbiology, and biotechnology. The department recently relocated to a new state-of-the-art research building with exceptional facilities for carrying out a wide range of experimental investigations. At the time of hire, candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a relevant discipline, as well as a proven record of outstanding research that demonstrates originality and self-motivation. Excellent communication skills for research and teaching are necessary.
