The Studio Art Program at Wellesley College invites applications for a Mellon Post MFA Fellow in Drawing and Painting. The appointment will be for a period of two years beginning fall 2020. In addition to developing their own research and participating in the academic life of the program, the fellow will be expected to teach two courses per year, which could include foundations as well as intermediate and advanced courses. We seek a fellow able to relate the historical and emerging issues of painting and drawing to a liberal arts curriculum and support interdisciplinary inquiry at all levels of the curriculum. The Art Department supports majors in Studio Art, Architecture, Media Arts and Sciences, Cinema and Media Studies, and Art History.
Requirements: An MFA or the equivalent degree is required.
