Apply to participate in the Next Generation Faculty Symposium held on October 19th, 2021. This is a Tri-Campus recruitment symposium, bringing together departments from Stanford University, University of California, Berkeley, and University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). The goal is to increase the diversity of our faculty applicant pool by highlighting talented postdocs and late-stage graduate students in the biological sciences. This year's symposium will take place at Stanford as an all-day event on October 19th, 2021, and participation in the symposium involves visiting UC Berkeley, UCSF, and Stanford over the course of a 3-day in-person event on October 18 - October 20, 2021.

Call for Applicants

The Stanford.Berkeley.UCSF Next Generation Faculty Symposium is a platform designed to highlight the work of exceptional early-career scientists who are invested in pursuing tenure-track faculty positions in fields related to quantitative biology, broadly defined, including biology-focused physical sciences (e.g. biophysics, biochemistry, and chemical biology), engineering (e.g. biomedical, chemical, and mechanical engineering), computational biology (e.g. bioinformatics, statistics, and data science), and the life sciences (e.g. biology, immunology, microbiology, genetics, cancer biology, neuroscience). Selection criteria will be based on demonstrated scientific excellence, evaluated through on prior research achievement and significant prior contributions to increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion in science.

Completed slideroom application and the following combined into a single PDF file: (1) Diversity statement discussing prior efforts to increase diversity, equity, and inclusion in science (2-page limit); (2) Research statement discussing your current work (2-page limit); (3) Applicant C.V. (please include references for both published and pre-print articles) All content should be single-spaced, Arial 11-point font with 1-inch margins.
