The College of Arts, Sciences & Education (CASE) at Florida International University is seeking a postdoctoral associate to assist in investigations of the ecological importance of sharks and other elasmobranchs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantitative ecology and experience in studying trophic interactions and indirect effects. Experience with large datasets and Bayesian hierarchical models are a major asset. Strong organizational and communication skills are also desirable. The candidate will help lead a global working group and will be able to lead synthesis efforts. Initial appointment will be for two years with the potential for reappointment based on the availability of funding and excellent progress.
