University of California, Berkeley: Assistant Professor at Jacobs Institute for Design Innovation

The Jacobs Institute for Design Innovation at the University of California, Berkeley seeks applications for a tenure-track (assistant professor) faculty position, with an expected start date of July 2018. Example focus areas include, but not limited to:

Applicants will be hired into a home department within the College of Engineering: (CoE) More information on the CoE, with links to each department, is available at engineering.berkeley.edu

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to both their home department and to the Jacobs Institute for Design Innovation. They will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in both, and have a commitment to excellence in teaching and leadership. To learn more about Jacobs: jacobsinstitute.berkeley.edu

Basic Qualifications: Applicants must, at minimum, be in process of completing a doctoral dissertation or an equivalent degree at the time of application.

Additional Qualifications: The requirement for appointment is Ph.D. or equivalent degree awarded by the start of the position.

Preferred Qualifications: Evidence of outstanding scholarship, ability to establish and pursue a program of high quality research within a relevant discipline, and a commitment to working in an inclusive environment.
