The Francisco J. Ayala School of Biological Sciences at the University of California Irvine is a premier institution focused on the science of life. Faculty specializing in research areas ranging from single cell communication to entire ecosystems participate in a wide range of multidisciplinary and collaborative academic and research projects in the areas of: learning and memory, structural biology, genetics, developmental biology, cancer biology, mechanisms of gene expression, exercise physiology, cell biology, ecology, and virology.
