New York University: Assistant Professor in Hebrew Bible

The Skirball Department of Hebrew and Judaic Studies at New York University (NYU) seeks to fill a position in Hebrew Bible at the rank of Assistant Professor, tenure track. The successful candidate will be able to teach a range of undergraduate and graduate courses in Hebrew Bible and related areas as well as to join in training and supervising doctoral students in the field. Preference will be given to candidates with training in the early history of the Hebrew language and Northwest Semitics. Ability to relate to other aspects of a comprehensive program in Jewish Studies is an asset. The appointment will begin September 1, 2018, pending administrative and budgetary approval. Ph.D. must be in hand by August 31, 2018.
