Ford Foundation Fellowship Programs

Ford Foundation Fellowship Programs are sponsored by the Ford Foundation and administered by the National Research Council of the National Academies.

Ford Foundation Fellowship Programs are designed to

Fellowships are awarded at the predoctoral, dissertation, and postdoctoral levels. Qualified applicants must be U.S. citizens, nationals, permanent residents, or individuals granted deferred action status under the DACA program. Qualified applicants must also be planning a career in teaching and research at the college or university level.

Stipends and allowances:

Approximately 65 predoctoral, 36 dissertation, and 24 postdoctoral fellowships will be awarded in 2018. Application deadlines for the 2018 programs are December 14, 2017 for predoctoral fellowships, and December 7, 2017 for dissertation and postdoctoral fellowships.
