New York University: Faculty Position in Neuroscience

Assistant or Associate Professor
Neuroscience Institute, Langone Medical Center

The Neuroscience Institute at NYU Langone Medical Center seeks applicants for an Assistant or Associate Professor for a tenure-track or tenured faculty position. Successful candidates will join a dynamic and collaborative community of neuroscientists at the Neuroscience Institute as well as in other basic and clinical departments at the School of Medicine and the Faculty of Arts and Science. We will consider applications in all areas of neuroscience but are especially interested in candidates investigating fundamental questions of molecular, cellular, and developmental neurobiology, including those with mechanistic or translational implications for disease.

The Neuroscience Institute encompasses an outstanding, interactive research community with research programs that span development, genetics, molecular and cellular neurobiology, sensation, perception, cognition, and behavior. Bench-to-bedside interests include movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, neurodegeneration, developmental and psychiatric diseases, and epilepsy. The Institute also boasts a thriving cross-campus graduate program, a rich array of scientific seminars and events, and strong connections to clinical departments.

Candidates must hold a PhD, MD, or equivalent degree and are expected to have a strong track record of research achievements using state-of-the-art experimental approaches.
