University of Houston-Downtown: Assistant Professor in Marketing & Management
The department of Management, Marketing and Business Administration (MMBA) at the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) is seeking applicants for a tenure track position in the areas of Marketing and Strategic Management to begin Fall 2012. The candidate should have an interest and a background in the use of electronic and social media marketing including data base mining, customer relationship management, SEO, etc. The candidate should also have an interest in teaching Strategic Management.
Candidates for the open positions should have a PhD or DBA from a professionally accredited business school with a focus in Marketing and Strategic Management. ABDs are encouraged to apply and are expected to complete their degrees within one year from the beginning of their appointment. Candidates should provide evidence of excellence, or the potential for excellence, in teaching courses in Marketing and Strategic Management. We encourage a pedagogical approach to teaching that emphasizes practical applications. Applicants should exhibit a strong commitment to scholarly research in their discipline and a willingness to work with others in promoting the advancement of the university. Preference will be given to qualified applicants with a proven record in receiving external grants.
