The Masonic Cancer Center at the University of Minnesota, one of 40 NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the U.S., fosters a multi-disciplinary and collaborative research environment which provides unique training opportunities. It is located on the campus of one of the largest public universities in the country. The University of Minnesota ranks among the top 10 public research universities in both NIH funding and federal funding for science and engineering.

With more than 500 faculty and staff members, the Masonic Cancer Center is home to some of the world’s top cancer researchers in wide-ranging areas of cancer research:

Each year our researchers successfully compete for approximately $90 million in grants from the National Cancer Institute, The National Institutes of Health, and private donors.

Our Research Partners

The cancer center’s research partners include the University’s Stem Cell Institute, Institute of Human Genetics, Center for Immunology, Center for Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Institute for Therapeutics Discovery and Development. Clinical research and treatment partners include the Clinical and Translational Science Institute, University of Minnesota Physicians; University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview; and University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital.
