Connecticut College: Faculty Position in Biochemistry

The Connecticut College Department of Chemistry invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level in the area of Biochemistry beginning Fall 2010. The successful candidate will teach the year-long biochemistry course with laboratory and develop a research program involving undergraduates. Other teaching responsibilities may include general chemistry laboratory or other courses that meet the candidate’s interest and department needs. The department offers ACS-certified majors in chemistry and biochemistry, as well as an interdisciplinary major in Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Biology. The ability to work collaboratively across chemistry and biology disciplines is desired.

Tenure-track faculty members teach a 3-2 load (2-2 in the first year).
