University of Virginia: Apply to the Institute for Advanced Studies in Culture Postdoctoral Fellows Program

The Institute for Advanced Studies in Culture at the University of Virginia (UVA) is now accepting applications for Postdoctoral Fellowships in the following Colloquies:

The fellowships are for a full academic year and are renewable for up to a total of three years, depending on performance and availability of funding. The fellowship carries an annual stipend of $40,000 plus individual health insurance and office space at the Institute.

Fellowships will be awarded on the basis of how well the applicant's current scholarship reflects and advances the intellectual mission of Institute. Fellowships are open to all qualified candidates without restriction as to citizenship. Fellows must be in residence at UVA for the duration of the award and may not hold other forms of employment. Institute Fellows must participate in all Institute-sponsored events and be active members of their Colloquies.

Applicants for the Postdoctoral Fellowships must have been awarded their PhD by the start of the fellowship. Postdoctoral applicants must have been awarded their PhD no earlier than 2016.

Applications for the 2019-2020 academic year must be received by February 15, 2019.
