University of California, Davis: Assistant/Associate Professor of Community and Regional Development

The University of California at Davis is pleased to announce the recruitment for a tenure-track faculty position in Climate Change Socioeconomic Adaptation. The area of specialization is open, including migration, rural-urban interface, social and economic transformations, and/or environmental policy with a focus on local, regional, national, and transnational communities and societies. The successful candidate will join the Department of Human Ecology in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor. Criteria for appointment include: a Ph.D. or equivalent in Sociology, Geography, Political Science, Public Policy, Human Ecology, Economics, Regional Planning, Anthropology, or related field, a record of excellence in scholarly research, and demonstrable potential to establish a competitively-funded research program. The appointee will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, and be actively involved in undergraduate advising, graduate student mentoring, curricular development, and department and university service. The appointee is also expected to participate in research and outreach/engagement programs consistent with the mission of the California Agricultural Experiment Station.
